Black clouds rolled across the white washed skies. The wind picked up and the trees began to wave to the small band departing from their tiny forest home. Their blood red leaves followed them as they trekked forward, the wind whipping at their backs. There were two cloaked figures in front, and two in following. Together they carried a platform between them. The silky cloth flapped in the screaming breeze but miraculously did not fly away. Beneath this sheet lay what appeared to be a body, a human body.
This figure was still as the world around him lived on, spinning in utter chaos. The figures moves silently, but promptly onward to their destination. Lightning flashed as snow began to fall lightly at first as they melted away the second of contact against the warm bodies, and then harder as the tiny cotton balls turned to jagged shards of frozen hale. The sky lit up once again as it seemed night approached cloaking their trail.
A long shaky breath rattled from the body of the creature on the platform, his breath gurgling as if caught in his throat. This did not bother the figures that carried it along, then hardly seemed to notice, almost as if it were natural to them. They might have began moving a little quicker, but not enough to be noticed. Another growl issued from the platform as light filled the sky once again.
Finally the creature was able to wait no longer. Lightning flashed red as the magical cloth was thrown off. The cloaked figures dropped the platform as the creature rose to it's feet. The four formed a circle around it holding their hands out before them. The chant began slowly at first then faster as a white light rose up from the platform. It grew brighter, and larger as it surrounded the beast, immobilizing it as it fought for it's freedom. The light disappeared as if beaten then returned in a flash.
The creature was gone, as well as the white robed guardians. The platform however remained centered in the center of the dirt road. It glowed faintly before extinguishing. The lightning stopped but the snow continued to fall sticking to everything under the charcoal sky.
